About

Dr. Ramesh Agrawal is a highly respected orthodontic instructor, known for his passion for teaching and dedication to advancing the field of orthodontics. With over two decades of experience in both clinical practice and academia, Dr. Agrawal brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as an educator.
Dr. Agrawal earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious School of Dentistry in India. Following his dental training, he pursued specialized training in orthodontics, completing a rigorous residency program. During his residency, Dr. Agrawal developed a keen interest in teaching and research, which laid the foundation for his future career path.
After obtaining his Masters of Science (MS) degree in orthodontics, Dr. Agrawal served at a few renowned university departments of orthodontics.
He moved to Ontario in 2017 in pursuit of high orthodontic standards. With his clinical excellence and fundamental knowledge, he achieved his Canadian General Practitioner license (DDS) in as little as one year. He is licensed by The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Orthodontics offers Dr. Agrawal opportunities for professional growth, continuing education, and collaboration with dental specialists. With continuing education, he can expand his skills, stay updated with the latest advancements, and engage in interdisciplinary collaborations to provide comprehensive patient care.

He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the Ontario Dental Association. He ensures his students receive the highest quality education by staying abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontic research and technology.

He has been actively involved in training international dentists to pursue their life dreams. He provides them with clinical, hands-on training, as well as interview preparation. Since he started teaching, he has enjoyed the success of more than 90% of his selections.

Samantha Watkins is a dedicated and experienced Academic Institute Manager with a passion for education and student success. With over 10 years of leadership experience in the education sector, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations and administration of Ortho Pursuit Academy.
Samantha Watkins, the Academic Institute Manager, is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all academic programs and services She works closely with faculty, staff, and students to foster a supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, Samantha spearheads initiatives to enhance curriculum development, instructional quality, and student engagement. She collaborates with stakeholders to implement best practices and leverage technology to enrich the learning experience.
As an avid lifelong learner and value for higher education, Samantha is an authority in all areas of management, including statistics, effective communication, and hands-on training, to name a few. Her past experiences in the social sector particularly give her the ability to appreciate diversity and inclusion. With over 33 years in the dental industry, she is an expert in all aspects of training. Samantha is committed to staying up-to-date on emerging trends and developments in higher education to ensure she remains at the forefront of academic excellence.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family and is actively involved in sitting on the Durham College Dental Program Advisory Committee. Samantha firmly believes in the transformative power of education and is committed to creating a positive impact in the community.

Amin Hirji

Orthodontic Hygiene Instructor

Amin Hirji is a highly skilled and passionate educator in orthodontic hygiene, committed to educating and mentoring future dental hygienists in the specialized field of orthodontics.
He brings a wealth of experience from his 30 years in clinical practice and education knowledge and expertise in orthodontic pursuits.
As an orthodontic hygiene instructor, Amin is committed to providing comprehensive and hands-on instruction to students, covering a wide range of topics, including orthodontic fundamentals, diagnostic techniques, treatment planning, and patient care protocols. He believes in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can develop their skills and confidence as dental professionals.
Amin holds a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from George Brown College, as well as an Adult Education Certificate from Brock University. His passion for orthodontics has led him to pursue additional training and certifications in the field. He stays updated on the latest advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques to ensure that his students receive the most current and relevant education.
In addition to his role as an instructor, Amin is actively involved in several different dental offices, where he contributes to the advancement of orthodontic hygiene, education and practice. He is dedicated to mentoring and supporting his students as they embark on their careers in orthodontics, and he takes pride in seeing them succeed and make a positive impact in the field. Amin is also a faculty member at the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, where he teaches radiology and pharmacology.
Outside of work, Amin enjoys helping people find their dream homes, as he is also a realtor. He also enjoys golfing, volleyball, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. His commitment to lifelong learning extends beyond the classroom.
He believes in the importance of continuous personal and professional development and strives to inspire his students to do the same.
